Managing Plant Diseases
Come learn about integrated plant health management practices that will help you deal with diseases damaging your garden/farm. We'll discuss common types of plant diseases on vegetables and fruits in Ohio, their life cycles, signs and symptoms. This will include pathogens like fungi, bacteria and viruses. Then we will cover management strategies including protection, reduction, exclusion, eradication options such as biocontrol species, and plant varieties that are naturally resistant to certain pathogens. This presentation will emphasize protection strategies, and is geared toward organic growers.
Workshops are free for CFI members, $5 for non-members. Open to general public!
