The Harvest Celebration is an annual gathering of Community Food Initiatives supporters, donors, and community members invested in food justice and our local food system. It's a way for us to come together and celebrate the phenomenal amount of work that goes into doing all we do, expressing our gratitude for the countless hands that have helped. It's also a chance for everyone to ensure that the work continues, as all proceeds from ticket sales, the silent auction, and donations go towards sustaining our operation.
This year we enjoyed heavy hors d'oeuvres by the talented locavore chefs Becky Clark of Pork & Pickles and John Gutekanst of Avalanche pizza, live music by the Ted Harris Trio, a cash bar, silent auction featuring local businesses, and art in the beautiful Dairy Barn galleries.
Event Information
The 2019 Harvest Celebration took place at The Dairy Barn Arts Center (8000 Dairy Barn Lane, Athens, OH) from 5:30pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, October 10th, 2019.
Food for the evening consisted of gourmet seasonal flair featuring offerings from two favorite locavore chefs. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options will be plentiful; a Cash Bar for beverages complemented the evening's festivities.

The Harvest Celebration is CFI’s big annual fundraising event. Your support keeps our programs flourishing! There are no differences in entry privilege between the tiers of tickets. Rather, please select your ticket based on how much you wish to contribute to the Community Food Initiatives cause.

As part of the Harvest Celebration we include a silent auction that showcases our local artists, venues, and businesses. Each year there is a variety of items and exciting experiences to bid on. We reveal these auction items as the event approaches, so stay tuned until next year!
